Hmmmm.. the wait for what? To say the last few months have been odd is a huge understatement .. so what is wait over for .. For being able to go for walks? For monsoon having started? For some travel to start? For stores to open? For me to go home? For my hair cut??! For hearing the words I always wanted to?
Actually .. all of the above could be true, this City of Dreams has become a little bit the City of Waiting, anyhow, I’m talking about the 30 year wait being over for Liverpool to be crowned League Champions .. Again!!!
I think the football gods have a soft spot for Liverpool .. with all the drama in the world, the season was paused BUT the season did restart and the season did finish! 30 long years and it’s amazing how I had forgotten of how many vatious cups competitions we had won in that time.. Ok ok, I remember the champions leagues, the ones we won anyway☺️
YNWA has never been more true .. Walk on with hope in your heart! It finally happened and i hope I will not be waiting for another 30 years for the next one! Actually I know I won’t be! Liverpool Football Club has become magic, the feel, the language, the vibe you can just feel it! And if anyone wants to learn a thing or 2 about leadership, maybe you could watch some of Jurgen Klopp’s interviews – Trust, Humility & Expertise! Turning doubters into believers and if you don’t value Diversity & Inclusion, you will! As much as I love Steven Gerrard, what I love about this current team is there is no super star, it’s a team and that’s what a team should be to perform at its best! All in it together!
Something that gets talked about alot, seemingly so simple – everyone knowing everyone’s names,.doens’t matter who you are! That was a change the Klopp brought in! I hope to know everyone’s name in the store .. will be about 200 people and honestly not that I don’t want to but my memory has to sharpen a little! A few months ago had gone to a restaurant and the waiter there said he remembered me.as I had been at the assessment centre he attended – I felt really crappy!! People are real, knowing a name shows value, shows respect ..not knowing a name makes someone invisible? Maybe?
Anyway … 30 years!! We won .. we won!! What an amazingly, wonderful season!!
