2020 is a year no one will forget.. many many reasons, the year that just keeps on giving! Power going on a trip when we can’t and Gujju’s being Navra in Navratri.. good to see people’s creativity is still alive and well ☺️
SOBO saw floods this year and yes it has happened before but this year when I see all the construction going on .. metro .. roads .. I do wonder .. are we doing irreversible damage to Bombay? A city built on 7 islands after all!
Climate Change .. reality now, these big cities of the the world – good or not so good? Loved the 15 minute city! I have always thought if everyone worked near where they lived we would not have traffic!! I have moved to a part of Mumbai so that I can walk to work .. one day (that’s a whole other story ☺️). Can a Mumbai become a 15 minute city? Ie. Everything you need or want within a 15 minute walk/cycle ride? Where I live, I don’t think there is a 15 minute stretch of a walkable footpath.. in any direction!

I decided to walk to Worli sea face today .. why add more to my carbon footprint I thought this morning by taking a cab to Nariman Point? So yes I have inhaled instead .. and when I get to Worli .. what do I see? Not the sea!!! Do we really need all these roads? Can we not put a cap on cars? What are we doing to Bombay? Mumbai? What are we doing to ourselves ?
Innovation is needed .. a very different thinking to just easing traffic! The right thinking .. the right impact and in the process creating all kinds of right opportunities.. 2050 is really not that far away! Our lifetime..
